Consigliatomi da una
"buona forchetta" italiana che vive a Boston, il Neptune Oyster è sicuramente un'ottima scelta per chi
vuole gustare una piacevole cenetta di pesce in città.
Ci sono stata non meno di una
settimana fa per concludere in bellezza la mia vacanza in America.
Ambiente informale, piacevole,
in pieno quartiere italiano.
Il ristorante è piccolino, non
turistico, noto ai bostoniani e sempre pieno, a qualsiasi ora. Un
suggerimento per provare ad evitare la fila? Se siete in giro turistico per il
North End, passate con una oretta di anticipo, lasciate nome e numero di
telefono e aspettate che vi chiamino passeggiando per il quartiere o prendendo
un aperitivo in zona.
Aperto sia a pranzo che a cena si può
mangiare seduti al tavolo (ma non aspettatevi eccessiva intimità anzi, siate
pronti a socializzare con gli altri commensali) oppure al
bancone, sorseggiando del buon vino e assaggiando deliziosi piatti a base
di pesce. La
tartara di tonno e avocado era deliziosa, così come le chele di granchio, le
ostriche e il "cioppino" , tipica zuppa di pesce e frutti di
mare originaria di San Francisco.
Ottimo servizio, prezzi in
linea con gli altri ristoranti di Boston e cibo decisamente buono. Da provare!

An Italian
"good fork" who lives in Boston , suggested me the
Neptune Oyster, a good choice for those who want to enjoy a
nice dinner based on fish in town.
I was there
less than a week ago to end my
holiday in America

setting, pleasant, in the Italian neighbourhood.
The
restaurant is small, not touristy, known to Bostonians and always full, at any
time. A suggestion to try to avoid the queue? If you are in a sightseeing tour
to the North End, go there a hour in
advance, leave your name and phone number and they will call you while you are walking
around the neighbourhood or taking a drink in the area.
Open for
lunch and dinner you can eat at the table (but do not expect too much intimacy
in fact, be prepared to socialize with other guests), or at the bar, sipping
wine and enjoying some delicious seafood. The tuna tartare and avocado was
delicious, as well as crab claws, oysters and "cioppino" typical fish
soup and seafood originally from San
