Quasi in contrapposizione all'accoglienza.

Abbiamo ordinato diverse portate e devo dire, tutto squisito.

Some good friends who also  love sushi as I do,  had spoken to me very well  of this place... I could not try it! So one Saturday night I was there with MisterX for a classic dinner for two!
My expectations were high! Just entered, however, I had a strange feeling. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly, but the room is a little cold. Almost as opposed to the reception.
All strictly total white and thus I should be mad because I keep saying that it is a style that I like but there is a mix of modern and total white, to the extreme, almost "aseptic".
The touches of colour are given by the courses and the flowers that decorate the small room and the tables. Only having dinner I realized why .... here it is the kitchen that needs to "to lord it" and gets all the attention! Or at least, that was my perception.
We ordered several dishes and I have to say, all delicious. Usually in Japanese restaurants  we never order cooked  things, but this time, Mr. X  did not feel well, and chose to eat something of more classic:  the amberjack  cheek .  We were expecting a small plate, a taste .... what could be  big an amberjack  cheek ??? Well, it was  huge! In two we struggled to finish it. And then it was tender and tasty. Cooked to perfection. I have to say great!
I finally ordered a selection of Japanese sweets. Yes, good  enough.... but the Italians are something else! :)
What to add? Ah yes,  the cost! They are quite in line with good Japanese restaurants in Milan (60-70 €) but I must say that the overall quality of the meal was very high. But we had dinner at the table, I confess that I do not know if sitting at the counter there is some difference, but if I know the Milanese style ...  I would say no, there isn’t any! :)
