Cafè Griensteidl per uno spuntino nel centro di Vienna

Ieri, l'intento era di fermarsi giusto il tempo per riscaldarci dal freddo sorseggiando un caffè e un the in questo cafè storico di Vienna segnalato da una amica che io chiamo affettuosamente Zia Mame,  in cui, come citano le guide, amavano soffermarsi gli artisti e gli scrittori di un tempo.
Noi non siamo certo artisti ma di sicuro eravamo infreddoliti e affamati, così, invece di 5 minuti, ci siamo "soffermati" al tavolo circa 2 ore cominciando con il caffè (devo dire buono anche se un tantino lungo) e proseguendo con zuppe e dolci. 

Lo stile è quello di un tempo (ed è questo il suo fascino), il menù semplice (spazia da zuppe a panini, toast...) e i dolci classici austriaci. Se siete in centro, fermatevi per un caffè, rigorosamente accompagnato da una fetta di torta o per uno spuntino veloce....il Cafè Griensteidl si trova proprio accanto all'Hofburg, il meraviglioso palazzo imperiale di Vienna che oggi ospita il museo di Sissi.

Yesterday, the intent was to stop just long enough to warm up from the cold with a coffee and a tea cafe in this historic Vienna reported by a friend who I affectionately call Auntie Mame, in which, as cited guides, loved to dwell artists and writers of the past.

We are not certain artists, but for sure we were cold and hungry, so instead of 5 minutes, we "paused" at the table about two hours beginning with coffee (I have to say good although a little long) and continuing with soups and desserts .

The style is that of a time (and this is its charm), the simple menu (ranging from soups to sandwiches, toast ...) and classic desserts Austrians. If you're downtown, stop for a coffee, strictly accompanied by a slice of cake or a quick snack .... Griensteidl the Cafe is right next to the Hofburg, the  wonderflu Imperial Palace in Vienna that now houses the museum of Sissi.
