Small, simple, a bit noisy, warm colours, warm furnishings ... it is very "old Milan"!
It is located in the centre, in Brera, in a side street of Corso Garibaldi. The style of the owner, then, is special and perhaps, at first sight, it might seem a little gruff yet I find him adorable. And 'he who greets customers and he often bounces off me!
I pass quite frequently,"La libera Restaurant" is not far from home and when I want a good dinner in a cosy restaurant, I look out and ask for a table for two, but it is difficult to find a place at the last minute ... good for them, it is almost always completely full!
The menu is quite varied, moving from the typical dishes of Italian cuisine to pizza.
Good appetizer of eggplant parmigiana, excellent baked zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta cheese or zucchini flan, good the main dishes, a very tender meat. Last week, I found the "Tagliata" (meat) with porcini very tasty.
Not to mention the desserts, homemade. I always order baked figs with "zabaione hot cream" but I also tasted the meringue covered with melted chocolate ...it has its own why!
