Tutto davvero buono, materie prime freschissime e porzioni abbondanti.

Just back from summer vacation and ready to post for a while.
I was at dinner (I confess that for reasons of line I skipped lunch .... I know you should not ... but this summer has gone so) in several restaurants and eateries, some I liked a lot, others in the average and someone (I must say a few) instead, a total disappointment.
As always on Lov-Eat Blog I post only those that hit me "very postively" so I start with a restaurant of my homeland, Puglia: La Puritate in Gallipoli.
Two words: kindness and friendliness.
A Restaurant indicated with enthusiasm by an Apulian friend who spends every summer in Salento and I have kmown with pleasure that is also mentioned in several good guides and in fact it is worth of it. It is located in a beautiful location in the historic center of Gallipoli and features a dining room and a covered terrace. Specialities: fish, of course.
We were 4 of us and we ordered a mixed starter of the house (I confess my fixation ... if the mixed starter is served with different dishes then I order it, but if you find everything in a single dish for me it is ... "definitely no." the reason is simple, the various courses may have different cooking so by serving them together you are likely not to find just tastes cooked to perfection or even cold ... and then the presentation with most dishes is much more cute and friendly ) which included hot and cold dishes: raw shrimp, tuna tartare, rice salad with toasted almonds (a delicious discovery), fried fish balls, mussels au gratin etc etc ... so many little delicious things. Afterwards, linguine with clams, shrimp and bonito salt linguine.
Everything really good, fresh ingredients and generous portions. The price I think is absolutely in line with the quality of the dinner. We spent 37 euro per person (wine included) and although it is higher than the average of the restaurants in the area I would not call it an expensive restaurant at all.
Before concluding, I have two suggestions: 1- Book at least one day in advance; 2 -Take some advice from the waiters who are very good at reporting the best dishes and they are really nice.
La Puritate is approved Lov-Eat!
Hey ... it was a long time since I did not give an approval Lov-Eat! ;)
