Uno dei week end di maggio lo abbiamo trascorso nella capitale.
Il venerdì, appena atterrati, ho subito portato Mister X in una piccola vineria che volevo provare da un po’: Bancovino.Avevo letto qualcosa (tipo che la proprietaria è una blogger) e mi ero incuriosita, così ho prenotato una cenetta sul tardi.
Mi piacciono le enoteche con cucina, soprattutto quando sono piccoline, accoglienti, ben arredate e con tutte quelle meravigliose bottiglie di vino in vista. Bancovino è proprio così, una piccola enoteca di quartiere, ci saranno si e no 4 tavolini ognuno da due persone più una decina di posti al bancone, una grande parete stracolma di vini e uno sfizioso menù per accompagnare le degustazioni. Direi che è ideale per una cenetta easy o anche per un pranzetto leggero, soprattutto se avete voglia, per un giorno, di sostituire la tipica cucina romana (bbboona ma non proprio leggera) con qualcosa di più sfizioso.
Noi abbiamo ordinato una piccola cocotte di parmigiana di melanzane e una di mozzarella di bufala infornata con pomodoro e basilico. A seguire, un tris di tartare (manzo, pesce e verdure) e una tartare di manzo con succo di limone, uovo, cipolla, salsa worcester e tabasco. Il tutto accompagnato da un paio di buoni bicchieri di rosso. Devo dire che avrei assaggiato volentieri anche un dolcetto ma avevano solo semifreddi o gelati e io non sono proprio una amante dei dolci freddi, soprattutto a cena....vabbè…la linea ringrazia, soprattutto in vista dell’estate! :)

I had read something (like the owner is a blogger) and I was curious, so I booked a late dinner.
I like wine shops with cooking especially when they are tiny, cosy, well furnished and with all those wonderful bottles of wine in sight. Bancovino is just so, a small district wine shop, and there will be no more than 4 tables, each for two people, plus a dozen seats at the bar, a large wall overflowing with wines and a tasty menu to accompany the tastings. I would say that it is ideal for a quiet dinner or even for a light lunch, especially if you want, for a day, to replace the traditional Roman cuisine (very good, but not exactly light) with a more delicious one.
We ordered a small "cocotte" of eggplant parmigiana and a baked buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes and basil. Next, a trio of tartare (beef, fish and vegetables) and a beef tartare with lemon juice, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce and tabasco. All accompanied by a couple of good glasses of red wine. I must say that I would gladly also tasted a sweet but they only had frozen desserts or ice cream and I'm not really a lover of cold sweets, especially at dinner. Oh well ... I would like to thank my figure, especially in view of the summer! :)
